Application Steps
This simple step-by-step guide walks you through the process of applying, enrolling, and starting your programme at SKAUP University.

Apply and submit an appliction. Thereafter, you will first receive a Provisional Offer of Admission. This confirms that you meet the entry requirements and outlines the next steps. Carefully review the conditions attached to your provisional offer and complete any outstanding requirements as instructed.
After meeting all conditions of your provisional offer, you will be issued a Formal Offer of Admission along with your acceptance letter. At this stage, you can proceed to enrol in your course and pay your fees.
On completion of enrolment and payment, you’re ready to begin! Log in to the SKAUP student portal to access your courses, pre-recorded lessons, and study materials. From here, you can join the virtual classroom, connect with instructors and peers, and make use of our Innovation Centre resources.
Admission Requirements
Admission to any of our programmes follows NUC guidelines, ensuring equity and accessibility for diverse learners, particularly in underserved African regions.
- For 100 Level Entry: Five O’Level credits (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects (e.g., Economics, Commerce, or Technical Drawing), obtained in not more than two sittings. JAMB UTME is not required for initial application, but must be regularised post-admission for NYSC eligibility.
- For 200 Level (Direct Entry): A National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields; or two A-Level passes in Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent subjects. International applicants need equivalent qualifications and an IELTS score of 6.0 (or approved equivalent).
Applicants not meeting requirements can pursue SUBT’s foundation programs or Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses as skill-building pathways. The ODL model supports inclusive enrollment with blended and mobile learning options.
Before You Begin
To help your application go smoothly, make sure you have the following ready:
- A copy of your O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) showing credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics. These results should be achieved in no more than two sittings.
- If you already hold a first degree, you’ll need to submit your degree certificate and transcript.
- Provide a valid email address and phone number where you can be reliably reached.
- Your Bank Verification Number (BVN) (or equivalent proof where applicable).
- One government-issued form of identification document (e.g. national ID card, passport, driver’s licence).

Two pathways: (1) Undergraduate degrees in business and computing; (2) Short Entrepreneurial & Innovation Courses (4–12 weeks) in startup design, digital marketing, no-code apps, data for founders, and more.
Our headquarters are in the heart of Abuja, Nigeria. Learning is 100% online, with optional meet-ups, career events, and partner activities hosted in Abuja and other cities.
You’ll learn via our Learning Management System (LMS). There, you can watch/read materials, join live seminars, complete projects, and collaborate in discussion spaces. Most tasks suit a standard laptop; a smartphone works for light activities.
Expect a mix of projects, quizzes, and proctored tests. Some courses require in‑person, supervised exams at approved centres; when that applies, we’ll give ample notice and venue options.
A typical bachelor’s degree runs four (4) years for fresh entrants. Direct Entry and transfer students may finish faster depending on approved credits.
