Programme Overview

The B.Sc. in Data Science at SKAUP University of Business & Technology (SUBT) trains students to turn data into decisions that shape businesses, technology, and society. Blending statistics, computing, and real-world applications, the programme develops future-ready graduates equipped with the tools of artificial intelligence, big data, and machine learning.

Delivered through SKAUP’s Connected Classroom, the course offers flexible online study, practical projects, and access to the SKAUP Innovation Centre, where students transform ideas into entrepreneurial ventures.

Course Modules

The B.Sc. Data Science is a four-year programme structured to take students from foundational knowledge in computing and statistics through to advanced applications in artificial intelligence and big data. Here some modules in the course.

Entry Requirements

For 100 Level entry: Five O’Level credits (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and two other science subjects, obtained in not more than two sittings. JAMB UTME is not required for initial application, but must be regularised post-admission for NYSC eligibility. 

For 200 Level (Direct Entry): National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields; or two A-Level passes in Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent subjects. International applicants require equivalent qualifications and an IELTS score of 6.0 (or an approved equivalent). 

If entry requirements are not fully met, our foundation pathway or CPD courses provide bridging options. Admissions comply with Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) guidelines and prioritise equity for diverse learners.
