Programme Overview

The B.Sc. Marketing at SKAUP University of Business and Technology (SUBT) equips students with the skills, knowledge, and creativity needed to understand consumer behaviour, build brands, and drive business growth in competitive markets. The programme covers the fundamentals of advertising, digital marketing, market research, sales management, and strategic communication, preparing graduates for success in both local and global business environments.

Delivered through SUBT’s Open and Distance Learning (ODL) model, the programme blends academic theory with practical industry exposure. With direct links to SUBT’s Innovation Centre (SKAUP-IC), students develop real-world marketing campaigns, explore entrepreneurship opportunities, and graduate ready to excel as marketing professionals or business founders.

The program spans four years, progressing from marketing fundamentals to advanced strategies and innovations. It combines general studies, core marketing modules, and electives, with hands-on learning via SKAUP-IC. Sample modules include:

Entry Requirements

100-Level (UTME) Entry: Five O’Level credits (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other science subjects, at not more than two sittings. JAMB UTME is not required for initial application, but must be regularised post-admission for NYSC eligibility.

200-Level (Direct Entry): ND/HND (≥ Lower Credit) in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields; or two A-Level passes in Mathematics, Physics (or equivalent). International applicants require equivalent qualifications and an IELTS score of 6.0 (or an approved equivalent).

Bridging & Access: Where gaps exist, foundation/CPD pathways are available, with admissions aligned to NUC guidelines and SUBT’s equity commitments.
